Handmade fabric shabby chic flowers and my lil Milk Glass collection!

YES! I finally made some of these fabric flowers. They are so much fun and so easy to make.
I watched a few of tutorials from Youtube on how to make these but the one i kept going back in was from this channel; Hectanooga1. She has a lot of flower tutorials and  are short and down to the point.
I picked up the pretty buttons from Jo-anns and i have to tell yah Im a lil disappointed on how expensive they are. Oh well, it"ll be fun to look for them in thrift or vintage shops.

I think they look so pretty on these two tier milk glass serving plate  that i bought from our recent California trip, also the ruffled basket is another vintage shop find (Both for $40). The ruffled bowl is from my local thrift shop and i totally scored on this one...It was only for $8!!! The lil one was just for $3. They look so pretty in my Art room and very functional.

Thanks for looking. Have a bless day!

Pot of Cream!

Hey Lovelies! So i've been doing a lil bit of painting and distressing (my fave), this time i finally painted this dresser i had in my art room. I bought this from a co worker last year and i knew that it was going to need some "tattered love" but took me a while to do so. I have a friend that suggested Behr paint with self priming formula and it turned out great! The color i picked was "Pot of Cream" and its the perfect off white for painting furniture in shabby look. It was fast and easy and so much fun to do, no sanding done on this one just wiped the surface clean and i just started painting away. Now I'm working on my beautiful ornate vintage mirror, i shall share when it is finished!
Have a bless day!
Ciao!

Vintage shopping at Benicia!

I absolutely love this store called "NEST" it is inside the Tanners Building in the Old town feel  Benicia CA. And there are tons of Vintage-Antique shop in one strip, i couldn't believe it.
There are so many vintage findings that i wanted to buy but we came with just our suv. No rooms for big furniture items. But i did bought tons of treasures! One of them is the swag style vintage chic chandelier, pictured below: I just love it!!! Im not sure where im going to place it yet since i already have one in my scrap room. I also found few pieces of milk glass items from other vintage shop. We love this town, the smell of fresh air and friendly people are very inviting.
And oh, just so u guys know i did asked permission to the store owners if i could take pics for blog post purposes. Ok toddles!

Family Time!

One of the scariest rides that we tried this year! well just my kids and hubby; i chickened out at the last minute. Sky screamer!
 Me and my youngest.

Dwaynes second tournament he attended in Rocklin Ca.

1st in forms and 2nd in sparring. YAY!

Brown sack/bag for gifts or more!

So i've been planning on signing up for craft show this summer and i had an idea for shopping bags, great for little things like cards or mini albums or lil altered goods that Im going to be selling. I came up with this very simple idea:  brown bags that i carelessly painted using Americana acrylic paint in Sea Breeze and i stamped them with French Inspired images. I used Oxford Impression stamp. And also this are the brown bags that you can practically get for free from Grocery stores....well most of them will give them up for free. Just ask and please and thank you are magic words.  I thought its very cute and practical. Thanks for stopping by.

"Tea for Two"!

Hey lovelies! Just wanted to share a "tea for two" setting i usually have with my daughter, Celestine. My Priscilla is not a big fan of tea but my youngest enjoys them. Makes her feel so classy and girly and its just a fun way to relax and spend time with my daughter. And also it makes a beautiful memory. I am a moderate tea drinker and loves to collect bone chinas. Above are the teacups and saucers that my husband bought me from a local Antique shop, the Junkees! That store is a Maze ball! Love browsing through the vintage booths. And the tea pot is very vintage made from England that i picked up from Julies.; another local Antique shop that i love to visit sometimes. These is just our usual setting, sometimes i can get over board and more fancier. But i hope some of you that think Tea party is just for old folks.....gets inspired to serve them as a healthy ritual for body and soul.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a bless day. Ciao!
